Neckerchiefs serve well in the summer & fall, for days on the edge of cool & warm. This style is sewn closed in the back for ease; pop it over your head & you're ready to go!
My neckerchiefs are made of a square cut on the diagonal, so there are always two that are very alike. I like to think of them as fraternal twins. Some people like to get both & share one with a loved one.
Includes a tag (pictured) with full fiber content & a care card.
Specific to this warp:
So grateful for this wonderful collab with local printmaker Erica Lewis. A collection of pieces embellished with fervor & resistance in literal form. I wove, they made the Lino-cuts and together we printed. It’s weird for the making of a thing to be so joyful while it’s inspired by such pain and injustice. But that’s the way of art and life much of the time, right? Community is where hope becomes a solid thing. If you’re a Kentuckian, please be sure you VOTE in our primary May 19th!
We ain’t making money on these, and happily. Full transparency, from each sale 25% will go to Erica, 40% will go to Bri Weaves and 35% will go to three local organizations doing the real work-The Peace Dove, Sweet Evening Breeze and La Casita Community Center.
Also, Erica still has the Lino cuts if you want to make plans for future prints. . .
Note-I may be a professional weaver, but I sometimes make embarrassingly amateur mistakes! Prior to printing, I improperly washed the whole warp, causing some dye transfer, mostly reds and greens on that stark white. Doesn’t affect feel or function, and it is slight, but important to disclose for this perfectionist. While the prints are set, I recommend only cool hand washing for these to maintain how crisp and bold most are (the few duller ones were machine washed and a bit too soon).
